The Uganda Premier League match between Wakiso Giants and Express has been brought forward, it’s official.

The rescheduled game which was set to be played this Sunday, has now been switched to Friday.

The UPL secretariat said that they recently received a notification from Wakiso Giants, indicating that Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium, the venue for the upcoming match, was previously booked for another event.

In response to this request, the Secretariat has approved the rescheduling of the Wakiso Giants vs. Express match to take place on Friday, November 17, 2023, at the same venue.

This is a rescheduled fixture as the UPL Secretariat had received Circular from FUFA on 28th October 2023, suspending all matches involving Express FC.

This, was stemming from ugly scenes after a section of Express fans attacked Assistant referee Fahad Ssekayuba after the 1-1 draw against UPDF in Bombo.
