The Uganda U20 Women’s National Team (Queen Cranes) lost 1-0 away to Senegal in the first leg of the third round of the 2024 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup Qualifier.
The hosts scored through Aissatou Chris Ba at the stroke of the first half, and the solitary goal was enough to earn them all the three points in Dakar on Saturday, November 11.
The Queen Cranes will hope to overturn the deficit in the return leg on November 18 at Njeru when the Lionesses of Teranga visits.

Coached by Ayub Khalifa Kiyingi, the Queen Cranes will meet winner between Ghana and Eswatini at the final round of qualifiers, if they managed to eliminate Senegal.
Uganda had eliminated Mozambique 8-0 on aggregate to reach this level.
These qualifiers aim to determine the four teams that will represent Africa at next year’s FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia.
