NEC emerged triumphant with a 1-0 victory over hosts Maroons in a compelling Uganda Premier League showdown at Prisons grounds in Luzira.
The decisive moment unfolded in the 54th minute when Allan Mugalu capitalized on Joseph Dhata’s skillful control of Rashid Okocha’s long cross.
Dhata outmaneuvered Fredrick Kigozi at the by-line, delivering a precise pass to Mugalu, who clinically fired into the roof of the net.
Despite moments of tension, including missed opportunities by Jackson Nunda and Fred Amaku, the Visitors held on to leave Luzira unscathed.
