Soroti City return to action on Saturday after a 27-day break, looking to keep within reach of the early pac setters Aziz Damani in the National Women’s Super 7s T20 Cup.
The reigning league champions will face Tornado Bee at the Green Oval in Entebbe, and considering their quality, are expected to find little resistance from the side placed second last in the table standings.
Soroti City last played a game on 6th October; it was a double header that involved Jinja SS and their city rivals Olila. They won both games to remain second in the table standings.
A win for them will take their point tally to eight (same as table leaders Damani) for at least hours as Damani have a game in the afternoon.
The league leaders will also play Tornado Bees on Saturday at the same ground, that game happening in the afternoon.
Like Soroti, they are expected to find no trouble in dispatching their opponents, and if they bowl first, it promises to be one of the shortest games of the season.
Tornado Bees have played two games thus far, but count no win. Their only point was recorded after their game against Pioneer in September was abandoned.
They sit second bottom just above bottom placed Olila who have played just one game this season.
