Midfielder Abdul Karim Watambala scored a brace to earn the man of the match in their 3-0 victory under Kitende floodlights.
Watambala’s brace and a second-half goal from Yunus Ssentamu ensured Vipers SC maintained their unbeaten run this season.
Right from the start, Vipers SC displayed hunger with potent attacks, as Abdul swiftly assisted Watambala for their first goal within 13 minutes, leaving Wakiso Giants’ goalkeeper, Bashir Ssekagya, exposed.
Despite Wakiso Giants’ attempts to level the score, Vipers SC displayed exceptional defensive prowess, with Kigozi’s efforts cleared off the line by Richard Matovu.
In the second half, Vipers SC intensified their pressure, with Watambala narrowly missing a second goal, striking the woodwork, while goalkeeper Jack Komakech thwarted a close attempt by Tom Masiko with a remarkable save.
Yunus Ssentamu’s spectacular long-range goal further solidified Vipers’ lead, as they continued to press for more goals, denying Wakiso Giants’ attempts to counter.
Watambala completed his brace in the final minutes, securing Vipers SC’s victory and positioning them third on the league table with 14 points after six games, while Wakiso Giants sit in eighth place with four points after suffering their fourth loss of the season.
