Kutchi Tigers Beat Nyakasura by Three Wickets

Kutchi Tigers overcame Nyakasura by 3 wickets on Sunday in the National Men’s 50 Over League to maintain their slim chances of winning the league.

The Tigers in a low scoring game bundled out the students in the 23rd Over for 96, and were able to chase it with the same Overs.

Dhansuk Jesani who now overtakes Frank Nsubuga as the top wicket taker this season was a menace with the ball. Jesani picked three wickets to take his tally to 19 this term.

The Tigers then had Hasin Ashani who picked two wickets score 23 runs for them as they chased the paltry score.

Nanji Pindoria (11), Avnish Vekariya (11) and Nandikishor Patel (13) also got the runs, but the real contributor to the score card was the extras. Nyakasura gave 22 of those.

Innocent Mwebaze got four wickets, but he bowled 7 wides. Keith Dan Aman picked no wicket, but bowled 4 wides and as many no balls.

Nyakasura captain Pascal Murungi also sent in five wides.

The result leaves Nyakasura sixth in the league standings, but risk getting relegated as they’re left with just one game to end theur season.

Should they lose that game and the other results don’t go their way, they could get relegated.

Kutchi Tigers remain third, but are now just two points (10) behind Aziz Damani Development and Aziz Damani, the top two teams in the league.
