The Uganda Rugby Cranes coach Fred Mudoola has named a 28-man squad for the 2023 Victoria Cup.
The team has held training sessions before the trimming from the 36-man initial squad.
Mike Otto, Musoke Douglas, Joseph Areo, Moses Zziwa, Pool Kalungi and Kawanda Bob are among those who have not made the final cut.

Uganda face Zambia this Saturday, October 28 at Kings Park Arena in Bweyogerere.
The tournament traditionally features Uganda, Kenya Zimbabwe and Zambia, was last played in 2019.
But defending Champions Zimbabwe pulled out, leaving three teams who face will face off in Uganda in a one-leg format.
Kenya will face off with Zambia on November 2 at Kyadondo before Uganda play Kenya at Kings Park on November 5.
The match between Uganda and Kenya will act as the first leg of the Elgon Cup, with Uganda visiting Kenya in Kisumu later for the return leg.

Ivan Magomu is the captain and will be assisted by Conrad Wanyama and Byron Oketayot.
