Kutchi Tigers won by 8 wickets
Jesani Dhansuk picked six wickets as Kutchi Tigers thumped Wanderers by 8 wickets on Sunday in the National Men’s 50 Over League.
Wanderers went for the bat after winning the toss, but their innings did not get off to what they’d expected.
Joseph Byaruhanga who opened with Hitesh Prajapti was not let to bother the scorers as he was run out in the second Over without facing any ball.
Dhansuk then started picking his wickets, first sending Sadam Oyaga (3) to the dugout in the 8th Over before clean bowling Prajapti (25)- Wanderers’ highest scorer of the day in the 10th Over.
It was now time for the trio of Davis Karashani, Geoffrey Sserunkuma and Ivan Kakande to follow suit.
Dhansuk sent all three packing in the 14th Over, but that was after he had clean bowled Abu Seguya in the 12th Over.
Maxwell Swaminathan then took over the wicket taking duties. Maxwell took care of the tail enders as Wanderers got bowled out in the 29th Over with 79 runs.
It was an easy chase for Kutchi Tigers who now have three wins in three.
Despite Avnish Vekariya falling as early as the 3rd Over, Nanji Pindoria (25) and Sachi Gill (39) were able to complete the chase in the 19th Over.
The result elevates Kutchi Tigers to the 3rd position in the league with 6 point.
Wanderers meanwhile who were suffering their second loss of the season remain placed 6th with 4 points.
