SC Villa 3-0 NEC FC
Kitara FC extended their strong start in the Uganda Premier League with a 2-1 victory over Gaddafi at the Gaddafi Arena on Friday.
Despite Ochungu Thomas giving Gaddafi an early lead in the first half, Kitara mounted a comeback in the second half.

Gaddafi, on the other hand, suffered their third consecutive loss, highlighting the need for improvement.
Ochungu’s header in the 35th minute off Ibrahim Kiyemba’s cross provided Gaddafi’s only goal of the match, but Kitara dominated more in the second half.
Under the guidance of head coach Brian Ssenyondo, Kitara made effective changes, with Living Kabon adding pace to their attack.
Kabon’s goal at the hour mark equalized the score, with Denis Omedi’s touch coming after the ball had crossed the line.
Kitara continued their offensive efforts and secured their second goal when substitute Ssenkaaba tapped in an easy shot from point-blank range in the 75th minute.
Although Gaddafi attempted a comeback, substitute Baker Buyala’s late goal was disallowed for offside.
This victory marked Kitara’s third consecutive win, showcasing their potential in the top-flight league with a squad of experienced players.
For Gaddafi, the match highlighted the need for improvement, especially at home, and revealed the challenges they may face early in the season under the leadership of David Mutono.
