FUFA boss Moses Magogo, has disclosed that Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda have expressed their interest to CAF in hosting CHAN 2024 as a preparation for the AFCON 2027 finals.
Addressing the press at Entebbe International Airport upon his return from Egypt, Magogo emphasized that hosting the Africa Nations Championship would serve as a significant step towards successfully hosting the East African region’s largest football tournament.
“We’ve committed to hosting CHAN 2024, and it’s now up to CAF to decide. This will serve as a valuable rehearsal for AFCON 2027,” Magogo added.
Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda, under the theme “Pamoja,” will co-host Africa’s premier football tournament in 2027, marking the first time East Africa has hosted the AFCON finals since Ethiopia in 1976.
