NBL Playoffs: UCU Canons, Power Fight For Last Semifinal Ticket

•UCU Canons Vs D-mark Power, 7pm

UCU Canons and D-Mark Power meet at YMCA court on Wednesday for their rescheduled Game Three of the NBL Playoffs Quarterfinals.

This decisive fixture was supposed to be played on Sunday at Lugogo but pushed to a new date as the other games had started late on the day.

This best of three series is tied 1-1, and the winner will meet KIU Titans on Friday in the Semifinals.

UCU Canons won game one 58-53 but Power fired back last Friday to win game two 74-66 and level the series.

The Canons looked off colour from the word go in Game Two, scoring just three points in the opening five minutes of the first quarter which they eventually lost 21-09.

Despite a promising second quarter, UCU were closed out in the third in which they managed to score only five points.

Their best player this season, Peter Sifuma, finished the game with only two points, a big contrasting performance from his Game One heroics where he hit a double double of 20 points and as many rebounds.

UCU were also out rebounded 51-58 in a game they turned the ball 18 times.

For Power, they will need to repeat that Game Two performance and will once again hope the best from their top players Elvis Mpeti, Ozias Kikomba, Isaac Afidra and Guellord Mobanza.
