Aziz Damani Development Extend Perfect Run

Nyakasura 81/10
Aziz Damani Development 82/1
Development won by 9 wickets

Aziz Damani Development found little resistance in maintaining their 100% run in the league this season after their 9-wicket win over Nyakasura on Sunday.

Development headed into this game as a team on fire having won all their opening five games. But despite their invincible form, Nyakasura who are placed third in the table standings were expected to put up a fight. That didn’t happen; Yusuf Nanga’s team instead asserted their prowess, consequently picking up an easy win.

Team captain Brian Masaba won the toss and sent Nyakasura in to bat, and off the 24.2 Overs, Nyakasura were able to score only 81 runs.

Masaba and Mohamad Shaaf each picked three wickets as they bundled out the students in a game that was revised to 30 Overs due to the early showers.

Henry Senyondo (2) and Frank Nsubuga (1) also came in handy with the ball as Development restricted the score to 81/10.

Nyakasura’s top run getters in the league this season Brian Asaba and Isaac Sanyu Ategeka didn’t turn up to the party. Asaba managed 18 runs off the 43 balls he faced and Ategeka who came in to replace the former was ducked after facing just three balls.

Ivan Thawithemwire (14), Fortunate Alijuna (15) and captain Pascal Murungi (14) were the other guys that managed double figures for Nyakasura.

The table leaders used only Roger Mukasa (16), Fahad Mutagana (23) and Robinson Obuya (29) to secure the target, and their sixth win of the campaign.

Nyakasura remain placed 3rd in the table standings with 6 points, but they have played three more games than Development’s sister club, Aziz Damani who are positioned fourth with 4 points.
