Preview: NEC Target Another Win
NEC will fancy their chances to pick another win when they host Busoga United at Lugogo.
The newcomers best Mbarara City 1-0 at Kakyeka on their top flight debut, thanks to Joseph Dhata’s only goal of the game.
They will be hoping to extend that dream start when they host their first ever top flight game.
NEC hosted in Bugolobi last season in FUFA Big League, but the stadium could not be approved as it doesn’t meet the Licensing requirements.
And for now, the side will be using KCCA FC’s Lugogo which is an artificial turf as their home ground.
Coached by Hussein Mbalangu who was brought in to steer the side in their top flight debut, another win will be a big statement of intent.
The Visitors on the other hand, also picked a win on the road, beating Arua Hill thanks to Isaac Doka Mweru’s strike.
Mweru bundled in from inside after Arua Hill fail to clear away from a corner.
The Eastern side held on to their lead, erasing doubts many had in their ability to stay in top flight once again against all odds.
This will be the first meeting between the two sides in a game that can either way.
