KCCA FC darling Allan Okello has joined rivals Vipers!
The shocking move comes after Okello ended his contract with Algerian side Paradou AC, having returned at the Club following expiry of his loan at KCCA last season.
The Venoms unveiled the Uganda Cranes midfielder hours before they take on Arua Hill on Thursday in their first home game in the league this season.
Its not known when Okello will make his debut for Vipers but he may be asked to undergo a surgery on his knee that has troubled him in recent past.

“I am so happy to join Vipers Sports Club! I am so excited to be here at this big club and l didn’t have to think twice when Vipers called me, l just knew l wanted to sign for the club. I can’t wait to get started with the team,” Okello is quoted by the Club.
Okello has been unveiled on transfer deadline day, with the window closing on Thursday 11:59pm.
The Club has been busy in this transfer window, signing Ghanian Fumador Awisome, Mohamed Salim Ekbad, Giancarlo Rodriguez, Luiz Otavio Santos de Araujo alias Tinga, Richard Matovu, David Bagoole, Grant Matsiko and Paul Patrick Mbowa.
Notably, the two Brazilians Giancarlo and Tinga have been let go by the club that failed to return to CAF Champions League.
Vipers Pokes KCCA in the Eye
Given the recent rivalry between KCCA and Vipers, the latest Okello transfer to Kitende will be painful to take in by the KCCA faithfuls.

Okello is KCCA all through having graduated from the Club’s junior Academy and was the face of the club for some time under Mike Mutebi’s reign when the side dominated the local scene.
He was and still a darling at Lugogo where he scored four against Onduparaka on his Premier League debut
While at KCCA, the left-footed youngster won two Uganda Premier League titles 2016/17 and 2018/19. He was also named the 2019 FUFA player of the Year.
Many former KCCA players have played for Vipers including Bright Anukani who is currently at the club, but this Okello’s move will pain the Lugogo side the most.
