Four months since the climax of the FUFA Big League 2022/2023 season, the Second Division returns on Thursday 21st September for a new season.
Booma welcome Jinja North United at the Masindi Stadium for the season opener.
The ‘Tukyate Boys’ will be without their talisman and last season’s top scorer Denis Omedi who joined Uganda Premier League new entrants Kitara FC.
The Masindi-based side will also be under new coach Mark Twinamatsiko.

Booma will hope to have a winning start to the season as they aim for promotion to the Uganda Premier League.
The hosts finished 7th on the log with 40 points last season.
Against Jinja North United, they will bank on home advantage as they seek for their first win over the Doves.

Jinja North United on the other side will also be under the new stewardship of Sadiq Ssempiji who guided Mbarara City to the Uganda Premier League promotion last season.
Sempiji helped Ankole Lions to a second place finish and will seek to reciprocate that to his new home.
The Doves have been active in the transfer window signing over ten players as they beef there squad ahead of the season.

Sempiji will hope to have a positive start to the campaign as he leads his side to the first game of the season.
In their debut season in the second division last campaign, Jinja North United finished 10th with 39 points.
The two met twice and both games ended in draws; in Masindi they played out a three-all draw before a one-all draw in Bugembe in the second leg.
