•Abu Salem (Libya) Vs KCCA – 6pm
Venue: Stade Olympique de Rades- Tunisia
Uganda’s representative at this year’s CAF Confederation Cup tournament KCCA FC will be targeting a first leg advantage against Libya’s Abu Salem.
The Sergio Traguil’s side were exempted from the first preliminary round of the given their recent performance since 2018/19 season on the continent.
And as they take on the Libyan, they are just 180 minutes away from the group stages, a feat they achieved in 2017.
They are at an advantage that Salem are not at the liberty of hosting their games in Libya, as the game will be played in Tunisia.
And KCCA will be seeking for at least a draw so that they can overturn the result in the return leg at Kitende.
To reach this stage, Salem eliminated Olympic de Beja of Tunisia.

Coach Sergio Traguil said: “They are well motivated after eliminating Olympic Beja but I think we are ready for the game and this is evident from the boys’ hard work.”
“We are the only hope for CAF games in Uganda and that can be used as an extra motivation and we will do all it takes to be in the CAF Confederation groups.”
New signings in Etienne Katenga, Adilson Bruno, João Gabriel and Carlos Gui will be called upon to lift the side.
But KCCA will be without services of Dominic Ayella and Brazilian forward Michael Vinicuis who did not travel with the team.
KCCA FC’s Probable lineup – Derrick Ochan (Gk), Adilson Bruno, Emilson Gonzanga, Philbert Obenchan, Herbert Achai, Saidi Mayanja, Etienne Katenga, Arafat Usama, Carlos Da silva Gui, Moses Waiswa, Shaban Muhammad.
