Crested Cranes: Abdallah Mubiru Replaces Ayub Khalifa

FUFA has appointed CAF A-licensed coach Abdallah Mubiru as the assistant coach of the Uganda Women Senior National Football team, the Crested Cranes, with immediate effect.

He replaces coach Ayub Khalifan Kiyingi in the same role, who will now concentrate on the U-20 team going to camp.

The federation has also appointed Olive Mbekeka to assist Mubiru as the Crested Cranes as second assistant coach while Stephen Kiggundu is goalkeeper trainer.

The newly appointed coach and his team will immediately start handling the provisional squad training in Njeru ahead of WAFCON Qualifier double header against Algeria coming up in a few days.

Mubiru has previously also handled the Men Senior National Football team. He has coached clubs like Mbye City in Tanzania, Proline FC, KCCA FC, Vipers SC and Police FC.

Meanwhile, the search for the Crested Cranes Head Coach and now the entire Uganda Cranes technical team is on is still on.
