KIU Titans will be unveiling Henry Mwinuka as head coach as the side intensify preparations for the upcoming National Basketball League playoffs.
Mwinuka who earlier played for and coached KIU, joins from Rwandan giants Patriots.
Last month, the Titans confirmed the appointment of tactician Carey ‘T9’ Odhiambo as their head coach but the Kenyan reportedly turned down the offer due to his busy schedule.
Mwinuka has been in the Country since last week and has held a couple of training sessions with club.
The Tanzanian is returning to the Club for the first time since leaving back in 2015.
He joined Patriots in December 2015, and has had stints with REG and Rwanda National team.
Before coming to Uganda in 2011, he was at University of Dar es Salaam (2003-2006) and Savio Basketball Club (2007-2008), Tanzania Assistant coach (2009-2010).
Mwinuka is one of the respected coaches in the region having won five league titles in the Rwanda League – Three with Patriots and Two with REG.
He will be working with Julius Lutwama at KIU Titans in hope that the Kansanga-based side win their maiden league title.
KIU finished the regular season in third position with 17 wins out of 22 games and are strong contenders to dethrone Oilers when the Playoffs get underway.
