FUFA Big League entity Lugazi FC have finalised the signing of striker Samuel Ssemugugu from regional league side Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) FC.
“We are thrilled to introduce our latest addition, Striker Ssemugugu Samuel, who joins our ranks ahead of the highly anticipated 2023/24 season,” Lugazi announced.
“Once I had spoken to the manager, I knew that this environment would be perfect for my development, Ssemugugu said about the transfer.
“I am incredibly excited by this opportunity to play here, and I am determined to repay the faith that the club has shown in me,” he emphasised.

Ssemugugu, known for his lethal goal-scoring prowess, joins the leaders on a two-year contract until 2025, with an option to renew for a third year.
In the third division for UWA, the striker scored 49 goals in his three seasons at the club, attracting Lugazi’s attention, and the club formally acquired his services.
Lugazi believe that Ssemugugu’s impressive goal-scoring record, coupled with his determination and dedication, make him an exciting prospect for their squad.
Ssemugugu now becomes Lugazi’s tenth official new signing after Ronald Ssempala, Alvin Burungi, James Okiror, Abraham Opio, Solomon Okodi, Freedom Mungudit, Mubarak Mitala, Andrew Odong, and Samuel Nsubuga.
