Challengers will aim to go top of the table when they meet Africa Cricket Club on Sunday in the National Men’s 50 Overs League at the Green Oval in Entebbe.
The side remains one of the only three teams in the league yet to taste defeat this season- the other two being table leaders Aziz Damani Development and Kutchi Tigers.
The T20 Cup semi finalists sit second in the table standings with a maximum of 6 points acquired from three games.

They will meet ACC rooted to the bottom of the table looking to dislodge Development – who are out of action this weekend- from the top position.
ACC have played three games thus far; they have lost all three! Challengers will feel it will be easy pickings for them in this game; they will want to better their net run rate as they seek to maintain their status quo.
Challengers’ current run rate reads 1.3. That’s almost half less than Development’s 2.7. Development however, have played a game more.
The other league games over the weekend will see Avengers face Nyasura at the Lugogo Cricket Oval and Ceylon Lions against Patidar at the Serenity Oval in Kamengo.
Nyasura are just fresh from losing the finals of the Sky Bet Boys Schools Cricket Week to Jinja SS. They will seek to put that aside, and hope to best their opponents on Sunday.
Nyakasura have won two of their opening four games. When they face Avengers who have lost three of their four, the students will hope to pile more misery on the side.
Avengers will hope to rely on their batting power led by the Sky Bet Boys Schools Cricket Week MVP Christopher Kidega to edge the Students.
Kidega currently sits 4th on the batting chart in the league with 145 runs scored from three innings. But Nyakasura do have their own batting prowess led by Brian Asaba and Isaac Sanyu Ategeka.
Asaba is second in the batting table with 185 runs, although 164 runs of those were scored in one game.
Ategeka is the consistent run getter for the team. From his 4 innings, he’s scored 130 runs- his highest being 45.
The Kamengo match up promises to be an equally contested affair. Ceylon Lions have played six games thus far, but have won just one. Patidar on the other hand, have lost all their opening games.
Patidar sit second last with zero point while Ceylon Lions are 7th with 3 points.
