Workaholic defender cum midfielder Jamaldine Buchochera has joined Rwandan Premier League entity Gasogi United from Gaddafi FC in Uganda.
The versatile player has signed a two-year employment contract that will keep him at the Rwanda side until at least 2025.
Buchochera is now elgible to represent the Rwanda Senior Men’s national team, having recently finalised the process to formalize his Rwandese Citizenship.
The dreadlocked rasta-man with strong Rwandese roots had spent more time in Uganda, but he now leaves the country with a lot of memories.

This latest development now puts a stop to rumors that the former Mbale Heroes captain was close to rejoining the Surgeons following their return to the Ugandan second division.
“Well, I have to admit that that team (Mbale Heroes) holds a very special place in my heart. I would’ve rejoined the club if there was a realistic chance for me to,” Jamaldine Buchochera told The-SportsNation.
“I can’t forget the special memories we created with Mbale Heroes; all the ups and downs, the triumphs and failures are a big part of my story, and that will forever remain a big part of me.
“I will dearly miss all my former teammates with whom we shared the dressing room in Uganda, mostly those at Mbale Heroes and at Gaddafi.
“And at Gadaffi, the president (Edrine Ochieng) was like a father to me,” he added.
“I’m forever grateful for the time I had in Uganda. Now it’s time to take on a new challenge in Rwanda, until we meet again.”
In Uganda, Buchochera also featured for Kiboga Young FC and BUL FC, Gasogi is his first league team in Rwanda.

Last season, Gasogi finished eighth of the 16-team Rwanda Premier League table, having collected 43 points from 30 games. They want to better that perfomance this season.
Gasogi currently seat second on the table with six points from three games, only behind Musanze who have won all three of their opening games to accumulate nine points.
Jamaldine Buchochera’s new team lost their opening game by two goals to one against Rayon Sports, before going on to win 2-0 against Rwamagana and beating Kigali 2-1.
Next on Gasogi’s menu, after the international break is a tricky tie at home against Kiyovu Sports on 16, September.
