Striker Ronald Ssempala has joined another FUFA Big League side Lugazi FC from Police FC.
“We are exhilarated to announce that goal poacher Ronald Ssempala is now a leader,” Lugazi announced.
The experienced striker joins the Leaders following the departure of their last season’s top scorer, Gerald Ogweti who left to UPL side BUL FC.
Whether or not the striker will score as many goals as Ogweti did for Lugazi is something we can only sit down and wait to see, but he has all ability to.
A few months ago, the striker had joined Police on a two year contract alongside winger Hassan Kikoyo from Bright Stars, but both had their contracts with the Cops terminated.

Police FC chairman Timothy Halango last week stated that the some of the released players didn’t fit in their style of play, but this website now gathers that Ssempala decided to end his stay with the Cops after receiving offers from several clubs including SC Villa, NEC and URA FC.
Before finally joining Lugazi, Ssempala was spotted training with URA FC ahead of a possible move to top division club, but the deal feel through.
The forward, before joining Police last year had been sidelined for two years with a long-term injury he sustained while playing for Soltilo Bright Stars in 2020.
Ssempala now becomes Lugazi’s nineth official new signing after Alvin Burungi, Jimmy Okiror, Abraham Opio, Solomon Okodi, Freedom Mungudit, Mubarak Mitala, Andrew Odong, and Samuel Nsubuga.
