KCCA Leopards face JKL Lady Dolphins in their penultimate game of the regular season.
JKL will be finishing the regular season on top of the table while KCCA have a chance of ending the campaign in second.
It’s a crucial game for KCCA who if they finish second, will avoid title favourites JKL in the playoffs until the final.
KCCA beat JKL 63-58 in the first round and will be hoping to seal a double over the two-time league winners.
The side has won 16 and lost four, with the losses coming against KIU Rangers (2), UCU Lady Canons and JT Lady Jaguars.
JKL on the other hand have 18 wins and two losses in their 20 games, the best record in the division.
Their last loss came against JT (53-52) on May 5, but they have since won 12 games in a row since!
Three of their players are averaging double digits in scoring – Brenda Ekone (19), Flavia Oketcho (11) and Hope Akello (13), the latter also averaging 12 rebounds per game.
Speaking about Oketcho, she is one of the three players – the other two being Leticia Awor and Becky Longom – who will be facing their former team.
The game comes in the week JKL franchise confirmed that their men’s team is up for sale, as they seek to put more focus on this Lady’s side that has brought more success in comparison.
