FUFA Competitions and Betpawa Packages:
•FUFA Big League – $150,000
•FUFA Drum – $150,000
•Futsal Super League – $20,000
Leading online Betting firm, Betpawa, is the latest Sponsor to partner with Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA).
Betpawa is sponsoring three FUFA Competitions – Big League, Drum and Futsal Super League – per the announcement made on Wednesday at Fairway Hotel in Kampala.
The one-year deal is worth $320,000, equivalent to Sh1.18bn.

The players on winning squads for Futsal and Drum for each match-day, will receive Locker-room Bonus worth Sh150,000 sent to their phones after the game.
This is a commendable and a big helping hand from Betpawa who are under Mchezo Africa.

Ntoudi Mouyelo, the CEO of Mchezo Africa, said that the new deal with FUFA is not a Sponsorship, but a partnership, more of a marriage.
“This is a first investment that we want to see growing. We are not a typical sponsor, we don’t come to just give out cheque, we want to see impact at the level of FUFA, Officials and Players,” said Ntoudi.
“Sport is all about players, and in order to recognise them, part of this partnership is actually going directly to players. I believe we are the first partners of FUFA that give first monies to players. The Drum and Futsal players, all players of the winning teams (on team sheets) will be receiving direct bonuses from Betpawa.”
Betpawa notably takes title naming rights for Big League and Futsal Super League.

Benefits under Futsal competition will include awards for MVP of the season, best goalkeeper, coach, player of the season, most assists and young player of the season.
Similar award categories, supported by betPawa, will be given out in the Big League as well as an overall token for the league’s winning team which is among the four clubs that earn a promotion to the country’s top tier league at the end of each season.
“This is another moment for us as a Football Association to bring a new partner on board to the game of football,” started FUFA President Moses Magogo.

“We believe that it has been out of our thorough Governance processes that we have put in place to earn the integrity that it deserves for such partners to join us.
“I have always mentioned that the success of Sport is going to be judged on both Sporting and business results.”

Betpawa replaces StarTimes as the official title sponsor for Betpawa, and Magogo said that it was a hard decision for them to take.
“This is one of the hard decisions we had to take, as you are all aware the FUFA Big League had its rights sold already, but as the Federation we decided to say that we forego whatever we were getting from that partnership and make sure the Big League is available for engagement with other partners. And here we are today, coming back much bigger and stronger for the support of the FUFA Big League.”
On FUFA Drum, Magogo revealed: “We started the Fufa Drum, a competition that celebrates our ancestry, it’s a pride for everyone. It’s a competition that has shown us that Ugandans want to consume Ugandan football but we must package it the way they want to consume it.”
Magogo appealed to the Consumers of Ugandan Football to support those who are identifying with Ugandan Sport.
He added: “I am proud that we are coming into a partnership with Betpawa, and this is a huge contribution to the consolidated basket of football, we will ensure that the products are more productive.”

Big League and FUFA Drum will take $150,000 each while Futsal Super League will bank $20,000.
“I am happy, this is our first time to have a partner on board. And as a member of FUFA and one who has worked with the Federation for the last five or six years, this is a journey we dreamt of. We knew we will reach this side. We didn’t think of money, we wanted to work on the product first and we were clear with the team that we will first do the work then the rest would fall in and this is just the beginning,” said Futsal Association Uganda Chairman Hamza Junju.

“Everyone who follows Football all over the world are aware that Futsal makes Football 11-aside. We want to deliver the complete player you all year for and at the same time deliver the flair and entertainment part of the game you all enjoy.”
