After months since the University Football League draws were held, the kickoff dates for the new season have finally been set.
The 11th edition of the league will be kicking off on September 12th 2023 with Uganda Martys hosting Bugema in Nkozi.
The tournament was scheduled to get underway on Thursday, March 9 2023.
Unlike the previous editions, the 2023/24 University Football League will comprise of 23 Universities unlike the 22 of the previous edition.

ISBAT University are newcomers while Mbarara University of Science and Technology are not playing this season.
Penninah Kabenge, the University Football league president said that they are happy to see the league grow.
“We are glad to note that the tournament that started with 16 teams is now growing to 23 teams,” she stated.
“We would like to welcome our newest member ISBAT University who are also here to compete for the championship.”
Uganda Marty’s Nkozi are the defending champions of the University Football League.
Then, they beat St Lawrence 1-0 thanks to Sanny Kaija’s goal in the final at Lugogo last year in November.
The 23 Universities were pitted in six groups.
