Buddu reached the Quarterfinals of the ongoing Masaza Cup competition following their 2-1 win over Buluuli in a last group game held at Masaka recreation grounds on Sunday.
Goals from Kilada Paul and Pius Ssebulime helped Buddu pick a hard fought win.
It was a needed win for Buddu, who desperately needed only maximum points on the last day of the group stages.
And the win saw them finish second in the Masengere group with 16 points, four behind leaders Buwekula who were unbeaten throughout the group stages.
Elsewhere, Kyadondo and Bulemeezi booked their quarterfinal places on the last day of the group stages after they finished as best losers in their respective groups.
Kyadondo picked a 1-0 win over Kyaggwe to finish third in the Masengere group on 15 points while Bulemeezi beat Ssingo 2-1 to finish on 15 points in the Bulange group.
Following the climax of the group stages, the Masaza cup committee immediately revealed the quarter final fixtures for the last eight teams.
Buddu will face off with Kyadondo, who were also in the Masengere group.
Bulemeezi, who were also best loosers will face off with Buwekula while Gomba will be up against Ssingo.
The other quarter final game will see Buvuma take on Mawokota, who are under the stewardship of Richard Malinga.
