The Pirates Rugby Club captain expounded that the the targeted funds (slightly above UGX 30M), will be utilised to properly equip the players – to ensure comfort while they persue their dreams in the game.
In a bid to empower young girls who play rugby, the national team player who has a very big influence has stressed how important it is for the whole community to rally behind the young generation of upcoming stars.
“Let’s rally together and score big for the girls who play rugby in Mbale. We’re on a mission to raise $10,000 to support their dreams,” the national team player underlined.
“Mbale has always held a special place in my heart. Amongst those hills I was raised into the man I am today,” Magomu revealed.
“It is there that these bones were moulded and this mind programmed into the player you see week in, week out,” the silky award winning flyhalf added.
“Let’s rally behind their dreams and show them the power of community support. Join us in making a difference and empowering these incredible athletes. Be a champion for girls in sports!”
Magomu has worked his way to the top in rugby, and he believes so many others can follow through his steps if they’re empowered, with enough opportunities created for them, with the help of the community.
