CBE Vs JKT Queens
Central Bank of Ethiopia will face off with Tanzania’s JKT Queens in the finals of this year’s CAF Women’s Champions League CECAFA zonal Qualifiers in a game set to be held at Njeru on wednesday evening.
The first game on wednesday will see Vihiga Queens taking on Buja Queens at mid-day in what will be the third place play off encounter.
And the big game will come at 3 Pm as CBE take on JKT Queens.
The two sides, without a doubt have the best in this tournament as they topped their respective groups.
For CBE, they topped group A with 10 points including that 8-1 victory over FAD FC.
They have been brilliant and will rely more on their captain fantastic Loza Abera, who is ever present to lift her side.
As they went 1-0 against Vihiga Queens in the semi finals, Abera scored late equaliser at the death before Aregash Tadesse scored the winner in extra time .
And they will be hoping to put up the same performance against JKT as they target reaching the final CAF Women’s Champions League to represent the region.
On the other hand, JKT have been a brilliant side starting all the way from the group stages.
They topped group B with nine points, a group that held its games at Lugogo.
And at the semi finals, despite going a goal down against Buja Queens, they made a come back thanks to goals from Abdallah Stumai, Donisia Minja and Gerald Winifrida.
JKT, a side from Tanzania will be hoping to stage the same performance against CBE as they seek a slot to the final tournament.
The winner between CBE and JKT Queens will represent the CECAFA region at the final tournament of the CAF Women’s Champions League that will be held in Ivory Coast due this year .
