FUBA Walks Back On Ndejje Rulings

FUBA has overturned the initial decision to strip Ndejje University Angels their two wins in the National Basketball League.

The side had their wins against City Oilers and Our Saviour overturned over using an eligible player.

Then, FUBA said that South Sudanese International Gatwang Thuok had not acquired a Letter of Clearance.

In the rulings, Gatwang was fined $100 and ordered to miss two games.

Ndejje were also fined $150 (which is Sh550,000).

“The tribunal’s inquiry reveals that the club duly fulfilled its obligations and it ruled in favor of the appellant. The player
(Gatwang Thuok) was cleared to play all the remaining games,” reads part of FUBA statement.

“The tribunal also overturned CC’s decision that had awarded the games against Ndejje University Angels Basketball club
by forfeit.”

Gatwang who missed the loss against KIU Titans on Sunday, is now eligible to play today against KCCA Panthers.

The current developments also mean that Ndejje has now won 7 games this season and are on a 7-11 record.
