Former Wakiso Giants Defender Agrees Terms To Join Blacks Power

Former Wakiso Giants defender Pascal Irasa is very close to joining FUFA Big League side Blacks Power FC.

A source close to the player confirmed to this website that the defender is ‘just one step away’ from completing a move to Blacks Power.

The-SportsNation understands that Irasa has already agreed terms to join the Lira-based club on a short term contract.

Irasa has finalised all negotiations with the club, and will travel to Lira to sign the papers anytime this week, a source close to the player revealed.

The same source clarified that the reports that had earlier linked the defender to former club Mbale Heroes were “just rumors without basis” as there were no talks between club and player.

The defender has gained enough experience having previously also played for Ndejje University FC, Kigezi HomeBoys FC, Luwero United FC, Maroons FC, Mbale Heroes FC and Paidha Black Angels FC.

Irasa had just joined the Purple Sharks from Tooro United at the start of last season, but had a disastrous time out in Wakiso, citing limited playing time.

Irasa, who can comfortably operate in the left back and central defence now comes in to boost Black’s Power’s options at the back.

By the end of the window, Blacks Power will most likely have over five players to chose from for the leftback and central defence roles.

That is if Ivan Okello, Daniel Otim and Jimmy Ndalambi all stay to compete for slots with new signings Isaac Okello, Paulo Musamali and Irasa in the defensive department.

Meanwhile, the club has also captured the signature of industrious midfielder Innocent Maduka from Arua Hill. They are still targeting more other players before the end of this transfer window.

The team replaced Hussein Mbalangu with coach John Peter Ongodia, who returned to the club after two seasons away, and was immediately handed the task to push the club back to the UPL.
