Victoria University clinched victory in the first circuit of the varsity 7s held at Uganda Christian University (UCU).

They faced off against Makerere University in the final, securing a resounding 26-7 victory to claim the title.

In their first appearance in the competition, the side showcased an impressive performance, emerging triumphant and undefeated throughout the tournament.

”It was the team work, it’s the first time they are playing together as a university, but the good thing is that they know themselves.”, said their Victoria University coach—Kevin Makmot, after their victory.

The side conceded only one try in the circuit, one that came in the final against Makerere University.

The stage is now set for the next circuit of the Varsity 7s which will be hosted by Kyambogo University on September 9th.
