D-Mark Power returned to winning ways with a deserved 84-67 victory over Kampala Rockets on Saturday at YMCA court in Wandegeya.
The five-time NBL winners came into the game on the back of a poor run that saw the side lose back to back against JKL Dolphins and KIU Titans.
And they responded with a commanding performance in a game they led 23-09 after the first quarter.
The Rockets played catch-up from there after but Power were out of sight thanks to a blistering start.
Veteran Isaac Afidra led the way with 13 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists.
Elvis Mpeti scored a game high 19 points while Elvis Ssentongo and Samad Imran added 14 and 13 points respectively.
Kur Garang had 12 points while Suka Fadhil and Gideon Kasasa added 11 points each.
Power out-rebounded Rockets 45-31 despite making 22 turnovers and missing 19 of their 23 three-point attempts.
It’s win number 11 for Power in 20 games for Power who still have to face Rezlife Saints and KCCA Panthers before start of playoffs.
It’s a 13th loss for Kampala Rockets in 21 games this season.
