Robert Eseru: Former Arua Hill Forward Rejoins UPDF

Uganda Premier League side UPDF have completed the re-signing of Striker Robert Eseru, The-SportsNation can confirm.

The lanky and hardworking forward rejoins the Army side on a one year employment contract.

He returns as a free agent after the end of contract with Blacks Power.

Blacks Power who were relegated to the FUFA Big League wanted to keep the forward but both parties couldn’t agree on terms.

Eseru left UPDF in 2021 and joined Arua Hill before later signing for Blacks Power in January.

He was supposed to Join Rwandan side Mukura but what the club offered was too low to persuade him to put pen to paper.

Eseru comes in as a replacement for Ivan Ahimibisibwe who joined URA.

Apart from UPDF, Arua Hill and Blacks Power, Eseru also had a stint at Ndejje University.

The Bombo based side has so far signed Goalkeeper Wasswa Yusuf, Defender Vuni Bright Joseph, Midfielder Sam Tiyo Kintu who all return to the club.

UPDF will be under the stewardship of Pius Ngabo after the departure of Brian Ssenyondo.
