CAF Women’s Champions League Qualifers

  • Kampala Queens Vs FAD FC – 4 Pm, Njeru

Kampala Queens will need nothing but maximum points when they take on Djibouti side FAD FC in their last group game at the ongoing CAF Women’s Champions League zonal qualifiers.

The Queens of Soccer are currently second with four points and will be desperate for all the three points on Monday.

They dropped points against Buja Queens in a 2-1 loss before picking a 1-1 draw against Leaders CBE, thanks to Zainah Nandede’s late equaliser.

The two results meant that Kampala Queens will need only victory in their last group game against FAD.

But also, they will need to pray that Buja Queens (on three points) drop points in both of their remaining two games if they are to reach the semi finals.

While addressing the press ahead of Monday’s game, under fire head coach Sam Ssenyange Kadidi revealed that they have been working on team’s finishing in the past days.

“We been working on team’s finishing in our previous training. And I want my girls to implement that in the final third against FAD FC,” he told the club’s media.

Against FAD, Kampala Queens must all go out and be near to perfect if they are to take the day.

They have not been clinical in the previous two games against Buja and CBE despite their strong start against Yei Joint Stars where they scored three.

Kampala Queens, making their debut on the continent are seeking to become the first ever Uganda Women club to reach the final tournament of the CAF Women’s Champions League.
