CAF A licensed coach Sam Timbe has passed away, His club URA FC has confirmed the sad developments!

Timbe has been pronounced dead a day before URA visit KCCA for the FUFA Super Eight semifinal clash at Lugogo.

Cause of death has not been revealed but URA FC said that the coach was being rushed to Nakasero Hospital for ICU at the time of his death.

The coach trained with the team on Friday at Hormisdallen in Gayaza but missed Saturday’s training session.

This is sad and shocking development for URA and the football development at large.

Timbe joined URA FC in September 2021, then replacing Sam Ssimbwa.

He won the CECAFA Kagame Cup with four different clubs including: SC Villa (2005), Police FC (2006), Rwanda’s Atraco (2009) and Tanzania’s side Young Africans (2011).

He has coached a number of other clubs including Sofapaka and Tusker FM in Kenya, took a sabbatical in 2018 but came back to join Malaysian Premier League side Persatuan Bolasepak Sarawak FC in 2020.
