KIU Titans recorded a 79-61 win over D-mark Power on Friday at YMCA in the National Basketball League.
KIU took command right from the word go and were 22-14 up after the First Quarter.
They then opened a 23-point gap at halftime and Power couldn’t come out of the hole.
Denis Balungu led with a double double of 13 points and 11 rebounds, Peter Obleng had 16 points while Amisi Saidi and Joel Lukoji added 11 points each.
Isaac Afidra had a game high 17 points, Elvis Mpeti (11) and Elvis Mutebi (10) also reached double digits in scoring for Power.
KIU were the better team throughout the contest, and Power only sniffed on the lead at 0-3 on course for a 18-point defeat.
The Titans, who are still without new coach Carey ‘T9’ Odhiambo, scored 21 points off Power’s Turnovers.
KIU have bow completed a double over Power having won 68-53 in the First Round on April 28.
This is their 16th win of the season, and third in a row for KIU: with City Oilers, Ndejje Angels and Kampala Rockets still remaining in the regular season.
