Junior Andama: Arua Hill Midfielder Set To Join Onduparaka

Arua Hill midfield prospect Junior Andama has been spotted in training with city rivals Onduparaka FC.

Apparently, the Caterpillars have successfully convinced the player to cross from the Kongolo side to theirs – from Barifa to Greenlight.

Arua Hill are yet to announce the departure of the player, neither have the Caterpillars declared his arrival, but there’s overwhelming evidence so far, confirming his transfer.

“Andama Junior from Arua hill to Onduparaka is a done deal,” reliable sources from Arua have confirmed.

Andama has reportedly signed a one year renewable contract with Onduparaka, only awaiting official unveiling.

Sources close to the player have intimated to TheSportsNation that newly appointed Onduparaka head coach Ceasar Okhuti was deeply involved in convincing the player to cross over.

“Okhuti knows Andama’s capabilities very well, and he trusts him,” the source further narrated to this website.
Notably, Andama was the first player to be officially announced by Arua Hill for their debut season in the Uganda Premier League (UPL) some two years ago.

He was acquired amidst complaints from second division side Calvary FC, who kept insisting the midfielder was still their player despite being unveiled by the the Arua-based side.

Arua Hill, on 25th July 2021 announced that Andama had signed a four year employment that would keep him at the club until 2025.

The creative midfielder has however only served half way his contract with the Leopards, frustrated by limited playing time under the Livingstone Mbabazi-coached side.

Last season, Andama made just one substitute appearance, and played only four minutes for Arua Hill in the league before being loaned back to Calvary where he rediscovered his form, inspiring the Yumbe-based side to a ninth place finish out of 16 teams.
