Frank Yiga has joined Kitara FC on a one year employment contract, the club has confirmed.
“Frank Yiga is our newest member of the Kitara FC family,” Kitara confirmed on their Facebook page.
The 25 year old Express Junior Academy Masaka graduate, who has previously played for Synergy FC and Nyendo Diamond FC joined the Royals from UPDF FC.
The attacking midfielder arrives at Kitara just in time as the 2022/23 FUFA Big League champions prepare to begin life in the Uganda Premier League (UPL) with a trip to Wankulukuku stadium to face SC Villa on 15 September, 2023.
At Kitara, Yiga will work with newly appointed coach, Brian Ssenyondo who arrived at the club with his unique tactics from UPDF FC.
The Royals have entrusted the tactician with the responsibility of assembling a strong team that will compete in the forth coming UPL season.
The youthful coach has since assembled a very exciting blended with solidity and flair team, that is expected is to cause trouble to their opponents next season in the UPL.
Big League top scorer Dennis Omedi from Booma FC, Frank ‘Zaga’ Tumwesigye from Vipers SC and Benjamin Nyakoojo from URA are just some of the new faces at Kitara.
The Royals have previously also confirmed the signatures of Donato Okello, Hamim Semakula, Samson Kasozi, Yasin Sabir, Shafik Magogo, Jude Semugabi, Crispus Kusiima, Ibrahim Maganadaazi and Kipper Luwalo.
The club is yet to announce George Ssenkaaba and Living Kabon from URA, but they all joined the club this transfer window.
