CAF Women’s champions League Qualifers
Friday 18th August
- FAD FC Vs Yei Joint Stars – 1 Pm
- Kampala Queens Vs CBE – 4 Pm
Kampala Queens will be hoping to bounce back when they face another tricky side Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE) in the ongoing CAF Women’s champions League zonal qualifiers at Njeru.
The Queens of Soccer suffered a shocking 2-1 defeat to Burundi’s Buja Queens this week on Tuesday in what was their second game of this tournament.
It was a disappointing result for Kampala Queens, who had started on a bright note with a 3-0 win over Yei Joint Stars in the opener.
And now, they face another tricky team in CBE, a side that has won all their opening two games and scored ten goals to top the group A standings.

While speaking ahead of Friday’s game, Kampala Queens head coach Sam Ssenyange Kadidi revealed they are going all out for maximum points against CBE.
“Its a do or die game and the only mentality is to go out all and all the players are focused for tomorrow’s match against C.B.E FC,” he told the club’s media on Thursday
Against CBE, Kampala Queens will need to be near to perfect against a high scoring side.
They will need to keep track on CBE’s star player and captain Loza Abera, who is ever present for the Ethiopian side.
In their previous game against Buja Queens, KQ looked poor defensively and as well going forward.
And there must be a better reaction against CBE, if they are brighten their chances of the getting of their group.

Kampala Queens are seeking to make history and become the first ever Women’s team from Uganda to reach the finals of the CAF Women’s champions League.
It is strong to note that the top teams in this group will advance to the semi finals of this tournament that has one group in Njeru and the other in Lugogo, Kampala.
