Uganda Premier League side UPDF FC is set to announce the signing of forward Henry Penza.

After successful trials with the Army side at Bombo Barracks Ground, the forward impressed the technical team.

Penza is a younger brother to Uganda Cranes International James Begisa Penza who once played for UPDF FC before joining URA FC.

The forward scored a brace on Tuesday as UPDF were 5-1 winners over Kibuli based team in the pre-season friendly at Bombo Barracks Ground.

Penza previously featured for Gadafi FC and Busoga United but lacked playing time.

The Army side have been doing a silent business after signing former players in Goalkeepers Wasswa Yusuf and Okidi Jimmy, Defender Vuni Bright Joseph and Midfielder Sam Tiyo Kintu.

However, they lost a number of key players including Samson Kasozi, Ibrahim Magandaazi, Okello Donato, Yiga Frank, Sabir Yasin, Luwalo Kipper and Shafiq Magogo who all joined Head Coach Brian Ssenyondo at Kitara FC.

Other departures are Captain Ibrahim Wammanah and Ivan Ahimbisibwe who both joined URA FC.
