UPL Secretariat confirmed that the fixtures may be altered due to Television Schedule (TV) and CAF Interclub Competition Engagements.

KCCA will surely not be in action on match-day one as they will be in CAF Confederation Cup – Having received a bye in the first round, they will therefore play winner between Olympic Beja and Abu Salim, with the first leg due September 15-17, while the return leg on September 29 and October 1.

Vipers likely to miss out on the opening day if they overcome Botswana’s Jwaneng Galaxy over two legs.

The First Round will end in January next year before the second round gets underway on February 7.

The League will climax on May 25 2024.

Among notable fixtures in the First Round include Vipers welcoming SC Villa at Kitende on October 20.

Express will host the biggest derby against Villa at Wankululuku on November 1.

As it was last season, KCCA have the home fixture against Vipers at Lugogo in the First Round on November 10.

The Case Of Stadiums

Mbarara City, Arua Hill and Kitara FC will be hosting their games away from home, as per the fixture, rightly so because of the FUFA Club Licensing.

Mbarara City will be at Bombo, but the management remain confident that Kakyeka Stadium will soon be ready and passed before their opener.

And per the opening match-day, Bombo will host Mbarara City Vs NEC and UPDF Vs URA at 4pm on the same day which is practically impossible.

Arua Hill will be hosting from Kavumba as they still weigh up on their options which include Greenlight Stadium.

And the same can be said of newcomers Kitara FC who will be hosting their games in Masindi
