Uganda Hippos defender Ronald Madoi has joined Italian lower division side Suzzara SC, The-SportsNation can confirm.
Madoi plays for Uganda Premier League team Wakiso Giants where he was promoted from the Junior side.
He has gone through the National Youth teams, starting with the U-17 side that won the CECAFA to qualify for AFCON U17 back in 2017.
Madoi was part of Uganda Hippos squad that featured at the 2023 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
The Hippos topped the group but where stopped by Nigeria at the Quarterfinals, a game Madoi played for full 90 minutes.

His aerial prowess and game reading makes him standout and will be a good addition for Suzzara, a deal that was brokered by Sports Management Company Festoweb.
Madoi was also part of St Mary’s Kitende’s team that beat Kitovu to win this year’s National Schools Football Championships in Fort Portal.
He started out at Vine Soccer Academy in Tororo and will be hoping that a stint in Italy sixth tier will be a step in right direction.

The Centre-back becomes the second Ugandan player to move to Italy after Innocent Media who signed for Lucera Calcio after ending his stay at Arua Hill.
