Buddu had a chance to walk away with atleast a point but Pius Ssebulime missed a penalty late in the game.

It was a frustrating day for Buddu more so Infront of their fans in what was a highly anticipated affair.

The win sends Buwekula on top of the Masengere group with now 15 points after seven games.

For Buddu, who suffered their third loss, they now dropped to the second position and they remained on 12 points.

Elsewhere, Mawokota bounced back to winning ways with a comfortable 3-0 win over Kabula in a game held at buwama on Sunday.

Goals from Joseph Kayondo, Godfrey Kidega and Brian Muwayira were enough as Richard Malinga’s men picked a deserved win.

The win ended Mawokota’s winless streak that had seen them go four games with testing any victory.

It was also a reliever for head coach Malinga, whose job was on the wire following a poor run of results from a side that had started this year’s edition on a bright note.

They moved to 12 points level in the second position but with similar points like Gomba who are leading the standings in the Muganzirwaza group.

And they will be hoping to build on that result as they target getting out of their group to advance to next stage.
