Kyadondo 7s: Heathens Dominate KOBs, Quarters Revealed

In the second round of day one, Heathens emerged victorious against KOBs in pool A, handing their rivals their biggest defeat in the ongoing National 7s series at the Kyadondo Circuit.

The hosts left spectators in awe as they orchestrated a masterclass performance, scoring an impressive six tries and amassing a staggering total of 40 points against KOBs’ 17 from three tries.

What looked to be a highly contested game, turned out to be one sided as the hosts took control of the clash, leaving the latest cup champions overwhelmed.

Heathens showcased their strategic gameplay, exploiting gaps in KOBs’ defence to overcome a five points deficit set by Joseph Aredo for KOBs and they continued to fight their way to top.

The loss was the biggest loss registered by KOBs this far, and was the highest scoring game of the day.

With a win against Rams in the final pool game, Heathens were able to secure the top spot in the pool and will now face their fellow Kyadondo based rivals—Buffaloes, in the quarterfinals.

KOBs find themselves in another challenging quarterfinal draw that sees them take on Pirates, in a replay of the Tooro 7s quarterfinal.

Pirates were on strong start, winning all their games from day one, and will be hoping to continue their run in the knockout stages.
