Defender Sam Kato Nemeyimana’s move to URA has hit a dead end, The-SportsNation has learnt.
Neheyimana’s deal to join the Tax Collectors was all but done and the Centre back started training with the Club.
He also featured in the Club’s friendly, a 5-1 win over Jinja North, at Lugazi on Friday, August 4.
The Club has since stopped him from training with reports suggesting that the two parties failed to agree on his personal terms.
URA had hijacked his pending move to SC Villa, and the defender has this week returned to Villa training!
However, Neheyimana has also failed to impress Villa coach Dusan Stojanovic and it looks unlikely the Rwandese will join the Jogoos.
Villa looks to have moved on after signing Cyrus Kibande in a position where Kenneth Semakula and Edward Masembe seem to be above in the pecking order.
Neheyimana has been a transfer target for both clubs since ending his stay with Rwanda’s Bugesera.
Kato left KCCA FC in 2021 to seek greener pastures in Rwanda, then signing a two years contract with Bugesera.
He has featured for Buddo Secondary School in the Copa Coca cola and won the 2018 edition as their captain.
Kato is also a CECAFA Kagame club winner with KCCA FC in 2019.
