Charles Lwanga

Striker Charles Lwanga has finally joined SC Villa, The-SportsNation can confirm.

Lwanga has signed a three-year deal on Wednesday, and he is just awaiting official unveiling.

The move sees him return to SC Villa, a club he left back in 2020 to join KCCA FC.

He started training with SC Villa this week at East High in Ntinda.

He still had a year left on his KCCA contract but their new coach Sergio Traguil deemed him surplus to requirements.

KCCA officials opted to send him out on loan but after negotiations with the player, the two parties agreed to end the contract.

Vipers initially joined the race to land the forward, a former student at St Mary’s Kitende.

But the player was advised to choose Villa who guaranteed him more playing time.

Lwanga, nicknamed Neymar, had left Villa back in 2020 after the club failed to pay his salaries and sign-on fees.

He scored 33 goals in 35 games for their Villa Junior team before he was promoted to the Club’s senior team.

SC Villa recently released Sheif Batte who has since joined Express while Frank Muna Kalule, Martin Elungat, Pistis Barenge, Fred Agandu, Charles Bbaale and Hassan Musana among others have left the club.

Goffin Oyirwoth went to the United States to further his studies.

Denis Ojara, Charles Batibwe, Diego Ssemugera and Cyrus Kibande are some of the signings at Villa.
