The player, who was among the seven recently released by Lugazi has reportedly agreed to a one year contract with the Lira-based club.
Pending official unveiling, the deal is done, and the player will be training with the club as part of preparations for the new season.
Before going to Lugazi last season, Akena almost signed for Blacks Power. He had preseason training in Lira with the team under coach Peter Onen, who was impressed with agrressiveness, but the deal eventually fell through.

After one year, Blacks Power have been relegated back to the Big League, Akena has been released from Lugazi, and the sriker now returns to Lira to find a whole new project.
Blacks Power will start their new journey in the Big League under a new coach, John Peter Ongodia.
