Mbale Heroes have tied down Akram Muzanyi with a new contract ahead of the new season.
The actual amount the player will earn from the deal can’t be disclosed as the details are still scanty, but it’s guaranteed to be an improvement of his previous benefits at the club.
Muzanyi has been rewarded for his consistency, that has seen him continue to shine for the Mbale-based club, since joining The Surgeons some two seasons ago.
The striker has been in fine form for Heroes – simply one of their best performers. He was their top scorer last season, with 13 goals, in a campaign that saw The Surgeons realise their season’s target of returning to the second division – the FUFA Big League.
The 2022 Masaza Cup MVP, has been trailed by a number of top clubs in the country including URA, BUL and Bright Stars, but he will now stay in Mbale to help the Surgeons with their top flight football-seeking mission.
The club, for unknown reasons has been doing most of their transfer business silently, but at least one thing is now clear – they want to form a very sharp attacking combination.
Last week, Mbale Heroes unveiled another prolific forward, former BUL and MYDA striker Ibrahim Nsimbe.
