Buddu extended their stay at the top of Masengere group following their 3-0 win over Kooki in a Masaza Cup game held on Sunday at Kyotera.
Goals from Pius Ssebulime, Isaac Ofoyrwoth and George Isingoma were enough as Buddu picked up a deserved win away from home.
It was a second consecutive win for Buddu who had beaten Buluuli in their previous game.
The win extends Buddu’s lead on top of the Masengere group with now 12 points after six games.

It was another brilliant outing for Buddu in what was their first game in the second round.
And they got off the mark in the 17th minute through Ssebulime, who benefited from Meddie Kasule’s pass to put his side ahead.
They continued to dominate and Ofoyrwoth made it two in the 40th minute with Ssebulime turning provider.

After the break, Buddu, who were already two goals ahead maintained their advantage and waited for their turn to add on their tally.
And late in the game, Isingoma put the icing on the cake with the third goal to seal a deserved win for Buddu.
It was also Buddu’s fourth win this season who are under the stewardship of Simon Peter Mugerwa. They are now on top with 12 points but level on points with second placed Buwekula, who took care of Kyadondo on the same day.

For Kooki, they remained fifth with just five points in the Muganzirwaza group.
Elsewhere, Mawokota’s winless streak continued following their goalless draw against Busiro at their own home in Buwama.
It was another poor day for Mawokota, who are still winless in their last four games.
They now move to the second position with nine points in the Muganzirwaza group.
But pressure is now on head coach Richard Malinga and he will need a reaction from his team in the upcoming games.
