Baker Buyala: Kyetume Forward Joins UPL side

Striker Baker Buyala has joined Uganda Premier League side Gaddafi FC, The-Sports can reliably confirm.

It has been understood that Buyala signed a two-years contract with the Jinja based side with only his official unveiling pending.

Buyala joins Gaddafi from Big League side Kyetume, where he has been for the past seasons.

He had renewed his contract back then in 2021 and he was part of the side in the Big league last season.

He has previously played for Soana FC ( now Tooro United) and Bugerere in the Airtel Masaza Cup tournament.

And he will be expected to boost Gaddafi FC frontline that has lost a couple of players Including striker Alex Kitata who recently joined BUL FC.

Buyala will also reunite with his former coach David Mutono, who took over as the new gaffer at Gaddafi, replacing Wasswa Bbosa who joined Mbarara City recently.

Former SC Villa youngster Med Nsereko, who was at Kaalo Karungi last season, has also joined the Club in a two years deal.

Gaddafi who also acquired goalkeeper Derrick Emukule earlier on, lost a couple of other players including John Byamukama who joined Kenya’s Tusker and Sadik Ssekyembe, who went for greener pastures in Somalia.

And the club will be seeking to add in more players as they gear up for the upcoming Uganda premier League season that is set to get underway in September.
